About the Program

The 26th Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference was held on March 21-22, 2024, at the University of Washington School of Law. It will feature a wide variety of dispute resolution topics in sessions covering current issues, communication, negotiation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills applicable to both work and personal life.

Chantel Prat, author of The Neuroscience of You, is a Professor at the University of Washington with appointments in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Linguistics, and at the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences. Her interdisciplinary research investigates how variable brain designs combine with our lifetime of experiences to shape the unique way each person understands the world and operates in it. She is the recipient of a Pathway to Independence Award from the National Institute of Health, and speaks internationally, and has appeared on a number of media outlets including PBS, Scientific American, Rolling Stone, Popular Mechanics, and Travel + Leisure.

Q: Will there be options for remote, or virtual, conference attendance?

A: No. We are excited to welcome our colleagues in person for the first time since 2019.

Q: Tell me about CLE credits for conference sessions, please.

A: As the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) approves credits for session, the information will be updated, so please bookmark the website and check again closer to the conference dates. If you are seeking CLE for another state, or require Continuing Education units for another professional accreditation, please EMAIL US with your request.

Q: What do you suggest regarding parking for the conference?


A: Visitor Parking is available on campus, and lots N01, N02 and N05 are closest to the William H. Gates Law School building. With our conference occuring during the school’s Spring Break, we expect plenty of availability.


The closest parking lot to the law school with ADA accessible spaces is Lot N01. Please also see the university’s Accessible Parking webpage.
